Yes, it’s that time of year again… Sorry we have been lax on submitting
a newsletter but with so much going on it’s hard to keep up. The
original intent of the newsletter was to keep members that could not
make the meetings informed, however since the club now has a website we
think that most members are able to access the web and read the meeting
minutes that get posted.
Meetings
Club meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month from
September to April at 7:30 p.m. Please see attached meeting schedule for
dates and places. Everyone is welcome to join us. (Please note we did
add the month of April to the meeting year as we have found that too
much happens between March and September.)
Membership
Membership application can be obtained on our web site or you may join
using a credit card on the
NYSSA web site www.nyssnowassoc.org If you are mailing your
membership form Please take the time to fill it out completely and
return with your dues either by mail or in person at one of our
scheduled meetings. Please remember in order to get the reduced
registration fee you must be able to provide NYS DMV with a voucher.
When the club receives your dues and enters your information on the
state web site, NYSSA will email your voucher to the email address
provided us on your membership application, if an email address is not
provided the club will mail your voucher. Please be sure to print
legibly and use the name and address as it appears on your
registration.
Storage Facility
The club storage facility is for the most part complete. We have been
trying to make improvements. It seems there is always work to do or
that can be done. Thanks a bunch to those that have worked so diligently
on the building.
Annual Poker Run
Our annual poker run is scheduled for February 14th with a
rain date of February 28th. More updates will be available
on our website.
Sponsorship
PPlease
sponsor our website. Individual sponsorship will be $10.00 per season,
your name or saying will be placed under the sponsor section of each
newsletter. A Business sponsorship will be $30.00 per season and will

Course
A
list of safety courses for NYS should be on the NYS Parks and Recreation
site soon. The web site is
www.nysparks.state.ny.us. If you are unfamiliar with the
state laws pertaining to snowmobiling please visit the state web site.
The club is looking to hold a Safety Course on December 2, 3, 4th
from 6-9 pm Burt Wilson has again volunteered to be the instructor. As
soon as we confirm a location we will post a notice on the web site.
Trail Maintenance
In the past few months another trail has been closed. The club is doing
all we can to try to protect our trails but some circumstances are
beyond our control. The club would really like to get more members
involved in trail maintenance and grooming. It is very difficult to try
to maintain and develop new trails with the limited help we receive.
